First 100 Days

Every era asks something different of the people who serve in it. Ours is asking for three things:

01 - Stability

So families can plan a future instead of just surviving the month.

02 - Accountability

So that power — corporate or political — answers to the people it's supposed to serve, instead of the other way around.

03- Dignity

So the work you do and the community you belong to are treated as worth something, whether you clock in at a hospital, a warehouse, or your own kitchen table caring for someone you love.

I'm running as an independent because stopping this administration's consolidation of power isn't a partisan project — it's the baseline job, and I'll work with anyone willing to do it honestly. But opposition alone isn't a governing agenda. FDR didn't pass the New Deal in a hundred days because he was lucky — he arrived with a diagnosis, a set of tools, and the will to try things and be judged by results. That's the standard here.

Day One

Sign the discharge petition for the Major Richard Star Act, publicly. The bill has 330 co-sponsors — 200 Democrats, 130 Republicans — and is 15 signatures short of forcing a floor vote. Congress should not balance the budget on the backs of veterans with tinnitus and sleep apnea from combat exposur

First Week - Seven Bills

End hospital price-gouging.

All-payer rate setting to stop hospitals from overcharging patients. Two in three Americans — including two in three Republicans — say this is their top priority.

The Care Infrastructure and Worker Dignity Act.

Living wages for care workers. Portable benefits that follow workers between jobs. A refundable Family Care Credit for families managing childcare or eldercare. Federal respite care so the $600 billion a year unpaid family caregivers contribute doesn't come at the cost of their own health.

The TPS Restoration Act.

Restore Temporary Protected Status for 330,000+ Haitians and thousands of Syrians by statute — permanently, not by presidential discretion. Immigrants make up 28% of the long-term care workforce, which is already short 6.1 million workers over the next decade.

The Worker Technology Rights Act.

The right to know when an algorithm is managing your job, pay, or schedule. The right to a human review. The right to bargain over how AI is used in your workplace. No AI-only firings.

The A-corp Framework Act.

Mandatory registration for AI agents operating in finance, healthcare, employment, and critical infrastructure — including home care, where AI is already making decisions about vulnerable people with almost no legal accountability.

The Default Collective Bargaining Act.

When a CEO makes more than 100 times what the typical worker in their industry earns, that's not just a pay gap — it's a sign corporate governance has broken down. This bill uses CEO pay disclosures companies already file with the SEC to trigger an automatic union election within 45 days at any company that crosses that line. No new mandate, no new bureaucracy — just enforcing transparency that's already on the books. It could reach 30 million workers, roughly one in five private-sector employees, and no other candidate in this race is proposing it.

The ICE Accountability and Use-of-Force Act

In six days this July, ICE fatally shot two men in two different states — in Houston and in Biddeford, Maine — neither of whom was the intended target of the warrant being served. This bill requires body cameras on every ICE operation, independent investigation of any enforcement-related death, congressional notification within 24 hours, and verified identification before deadly force is used. Power without a record isn't law enforcement. It's a liability the public is being asked to absorb without ever being told the terms.

On costs

Repeal Trump's tariffs

Structural business tax reform — over $3 trillion in revenue over ten years by applying the same rules to businesses with the same economic characteristics

Expand the Child Tax Credit with full refundability — the 2021 version cut child poverty nearly in half in a single year

The Family Care Credit, addressing the caregiving costs that pushed 42% of women who left the workforce in 2025 out of it

Close the IEEPA tariff loophole and require congressional approval for tariffs above a set threshold

No votes to cut Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, or CHIP to fund tax cuts for the wealthy.

On care

The Care Infrastructure and Worker Dignity Act as the vehicle for Medicaid reimbursement reform, portable benefits, respite care, and AI governance in care settings

Co-sponsor the PrEP Access and Coverage Act — a drug that costs $6 to make should not cost $2,000 to access

On labor and worker power

Push hard for Senate passage of the Faster Labor Contracts Act — it already passed the House 220-193 with Republican votes, and guarantees a union election leads to an actual contract within 90 days instead of the average 465-day employer stall tactic

Co-sponsor the PRO Act, the Public Service Freedom to Negotiate Act, and the Protecting America's Workforce Act — three bills that have already passed the House with bipartisan support

Push worker protections into the bipartisan Great American AI Act before it moves

Give workers a direct right to sue under the National Labor Relations Act — because the Supreme Court just stripped the NLRB of its independence, and workers can't rely on a board that answers to the President

Let states pass their own labor laws protecting the right to organize, as a backstop to federal preemption that no longer makes sense when the national board isn't independent anymore

On accountability

Ban stock trading by members of Congress — 86% public support, across party lines

Force dark money disclosure

A public interest procurement standard for every major federal contractor

Oppose SEC rollbacks that push retail investors into private equity without public market protections

Restore USDA food security data and BLS independence

On oversight

Investigate DOD and DHS contracting practices, including rapid acquisition pathways used to skip testing requirements

Demand emergency hearings on the Houston and Biddeford, Maine ICE shootings, and require DHS to report enforcement-related deaths to Congress within 24 hours

Restore the Inspector General system with Senate confirmation required for removal

Get the Appropriations Committee back on track

On housing

Restore Emergency Housing Voucher funding — the program is being ended four years early, displacing seniors and families who built their lives around a federal promise

Co-sponsor the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, plus companion legislation on deep affordability, community land trusts, and fair housing enforcement

Close the LLC-fragmentation loophole in the ROAD Act's investor restrictions, so companies can't dodge the 350-home cap on institutional buyers by splitting ownership across shell entities
